Mechanics & Electromagnetism is a full-year, calculus-based, college-level physics course, especially appropriate for students planning to specialize or major in physical science or engineering. Students will explore Newton's Laws, circular and rotational motion, conservation laws, electric circuits, field theory, and magnetism. The course work and laboratory activities will focus on the student's ability to explain observations using physics theories, algebra, and calculus. Students will be required to attend two 3-hour sessions outside of class time to engage in laboratory work each semester.
