Astrophysics is a three-dimensional Next Generation Science Standards course designed to provide students with an exploration of matter and energy in our space systems. Students will develop a strong foundation in concepts and theories related to physics such as electromagnetic radiation, stellar nucleosynthesis, mechanics, and orbital motion. They will develop this conceptual understanding while engaging in applicable science practices, including mathematical and computational thinking, modeling, communicating scientific understanding and developing and using models.
