The Intermediate Mid (2) world language course continues to develop language proficiency in Arabic/French/Spanish and understanding of these cultures around the world. Students exchange information in spoken and written conversations on familiar topics and some researched topics creating sentences and asking a variety of follow-up questions. They give presentations on researched topics using short paragraphs often across various time frames. They identify the main idea and key information in short informational and fictional texts and conversations. Students recognize that significant differences in behaviors exist among cultures, use appropriate learned behaviors, and avoid major social blunders.
