Approaches to Literature: American Perspectives

In this course, students will be exploring how various American systems have impacted people of all backgrounds. Students will be asked to look at various texts and how the authors’ chose to achieve their purpose. They will write research papers, on-demand analytical essays and creative assessments.  There will be a variety of texts studied: novels, graphic novels, poetry, film, and theater. Analyzing how different genres of texts interact is essential to this course.
