Temperatures range from lows of 8 degrees Celsius in the winter, to highs of 48 degrees Celsius during the summer months. Rainfall is infrequent, occurring mostly during the winter. Summer clothing can be worn year-round, with an occasional wrap or jacket needed in winter months or in the air-conditioned restaurants and malls. Modest clothing, covering your shoulders and knees is recommended when out in public.
