Design and Innovation
- Prerequisite(s):NoneCorequisite(s):None
Students undertaking Core Design and Innovation - Robotics I will have the opportunity to explore the foundations of robotics by accessing three progressive sections designed to build students' robotics skills from foundational to advanced levels.
The course begins with Foundations of Robotics and Spike Prime, where students learn the basics of constructing and programming robots using the LEGO Spike Prime kit. In this initial phase, they engage in simple challenges that introduce core concepts like motor control, sensor use, and basic automation.
The course then advances to Applied Robotics and Sensor Integration, where students explore more complex programming techniques and real-world applications. This section emphasizes the integration of multiple sensors and solving practical problems such as environmental monitoring and security automation.
Finally, the course culminates in Mastering Robotics: Autonomy and Innovation, where students tackle sophisticated challenges that require autonomous navigation, data analysis, and optimization. Throughout this phase, students develop robots capable of performing complex tasks in dynamic environments, showcasing their ability to innovate and master robotics principles.
