Design and Innovation 6 (DI6) is an introductory course where students dive into the exciting world of technology and innovation. Students will engage with digital design skills and concepts such as content creation, 3D modeling, and coding while also building maker design skills through robotics and product development. As they journey through the course, students will start building a portfolio that reflects their learning and creations in design and technology. This course fosters critical thinking and problem-solving skills, paving the way for future exploration in design and innovation.

The Grade 6 Explorer Wheel program offers students a dynamic opportunity to discover their interests and talents by rotating through four diverse courses throughout the year—each for one quarter. By sampling these subjects, students gain insight into their passions and make informed choices about elective classes in future years. This program introduces students to Design & Innovation 6, where they engage in creative problem-solving and hands-on projects; Dance 6, which fosters physical expression and rhythm; Drama 6, where students build confidence and explore storytelling and performance; and Visual Arts 6, which encourages creativity and visual expression. By sampling these subjects, students gain insight into their passions and make informed choices about elective classes in future years.
