Social Studies 8 focuses on the development of inquiry skills, which include creating thought-provoking questions, researching and analyzing primary and secondary documents, determining and clearly communicating answers, and taking authentic and informed action. Students will focus on Identity and how that has played a role in their families story for the first half of the course. Additionally, students will explore the themes of Colonization, Revolution, and Government, connecting US history to broader world contexts.
