Drama 6 is an introduction to theater as an art form. This course focuses on the fundamentals of acting and theater. Emphasis is placed on participation, creativity, and a willingness to explore. The course objective is for students to gain confidence, discover creativity in themselves and in others, and grow through discussion and personal reflection.
The Grade 6 Explorer Wheel program offers students a dynamic opportunity to discover their interests and talents by rotating through four diverse courses throughout the year—each for one quarter. By sampling these subjects, students gain insight into their passions and make informed choices about elective classes in future years. This program introduces students to Design & Innovation 6, where they engage in creative problem-solving and hands-on projects; Dance 6, which fosters physical expression and rhythm; Drama 6, where students build confidence and explore storytelling and performance; and Visual Arts 6, which encourages creativity and visual expression. By sampling these subjects, students gain insight into their passions and make informed choices about elective classes in future years.
