The purpose of Beginning Band is to learn a new instrument, become a proficient musician on their chosen instrument, and establish a foundation of knowledge necessary to contribute to a performance ensemble. Instrument options include the flute, clarinet, trumpet, trombone, baritone, tuba and a percussion instrument. The class will perform twice a year, namely during the Fall and Spring Concerts. Students will learn skills that last a lifetime and the persistence of mastering an instrument reinforces the ideals of hard work, dedication, and passion.
